'From Russia with Love'

From my AntiquiSeas collection, a one-of-a-kind piece.  The bronze buckles used in this piece were excavated from an archaeological dig in Russia that has been dated to the early 1700's.  I literally had to clean it of red clay dust when they arrived!  The top buckle is from a horse harness, and the lower buckle is a shoe buckle.  Both are uniquely shaped and naturally patinaed from being buried for 500 years.

This antique bronze buckles are accented with a jasper disk and Sanibel Island driftwood and below it, olive sea glass and a tiny orange scallop shell.  Suspended on beautiful, hand-dyed silk ribbon.  Length can be adjusted.
