'Window to the Past'

From my AntiquiSeas collection, a one-of-a-kind piece.  The bronze buckles used in this piece were excavated from an archaeological dig in Russia that has been dated to the early 1700's.  I literally had to clean it of red clay dust when they arrived!  The buckle is from a horse harness, and is cast bronze.  It is uniquely shaped and naturally patinaed from being buried for 500 years.

This antique bronze buckle is accented using copper wire, Sanibel Island driftwood, and bars of carnelian stones with white milky agate beads.  Suspended on beautiful, hand-dyed silk ribbon with tendrils of cord accented with tiny seed beads.  Length can be adjusted.
